LITERARY ELEMENT:Symbolism

Standard

Symbolism is the largest abstract representation of an idea. For some cultures, trees represent birth, death or life. The Nazi Party used the Swastika to represent their principles that ruled Germany under the regime of the Fuhrer  from 1939 to 1945.

Watch the video and grab some ideas about how to start designing your own symbol-the one that will represent your personality and principles of living.

LITERARY ELEMENT: Conflict

Standard

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONFLICT

It is the struggle between two opposite forces. It can be Internal or External. Internal conflict is the problem that a man has with himself – Insecurity, jelousy, envy. External conflict deals with outside forces. Man against man or man against environment- hate for others, feeling cold in the arctic, or simply quarrels on daily errands.

Watch the video about CONFLICT and download and read the file about Conflict. Answer the multiple choice exercise and send it to mr.mrtz for extra credit tickets.
